A united front of first responders backs Alicia as the public safety candidate

Alicia Vaichunas has secured the endorsement of every major NYPD union along with both FDNY unions, a sweeping vote of confidence from the city’s first responders and working families.
The endorsements include the Police Benevolent Association (PBA), Detectives’ Endowment Association (DEA), Sergeants Benevolent Association (SBA), Lieutenants Benevolent Association (LBA), Captains Endowment Association (CEA), Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association (COBA), Supreme Court Officers Association (SCOA), the Uniformed Firefighters Association (UFA), and the Uniformed Fire Officers Association (UFOA).
“These unions represent the backbone of New York City — the responders who run toward danger when everyone else runs away,” said Vaichunas. “I’ve always stood with our first responders, and I will do so when elected to the Council. These men and women fight hard every day to keep us safe, and I’ll fight for them at City Hall.
